Entertainment Schedule

Essex Day Main Stage (Taylor Avenue):

12 – 1: Experience (Classic Rock)
1:30 – 2:30 Dwayne Wilson and the Dark Horse Band (Country Music)
2:30: Pie Eating Contest
3 – 4: Phoenix Rising (Dance, Rock, Modern, Pop, 80s & 90s)
4:30-5:30: Awaken (Baltimore’s Most Versatile Rock Band)

Community Stage (Margaret Avenue)

Head to the Community Stage for some family-friendly fun from 12 – 5 pm!

Baltimore Ravens Super Fan Captain DEE-FENSE: Captain Dee, a member of the NFL Hall of Fans, will be ready to pump up the crowd, take pictures and sign autographs.

Ridiculous Nicholas: A crowd favorite, Nick does a bit of everything with a comedic spin and unique flare. He’s a comedy variety performer, juggler, mime, and magician rolled into one.

Camron Robertson “Mr. Charisma”:  Mr. Charisma will be bringing us the sounds of yesterday’s music! If you enjoy the smooth ways of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and even Elvis, you won’t want to miss Camron’s performances!

Budweiser Clydesdales

For the first time ever, the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales will make an appearance at the Essex Day Festival. Eight of these majestic horses will be at the Festival from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Essex Day Car Show

The Essex Day Car Show will feature trophies and cash prizes, sponsored by Animated Car Audio. The Car Show will run from 10 am to 3 pm.

Karaoke Stage (Midway between Taylor and Mace)

Karaoke is returning to the Essex Day Festival Main Event Entertainment will host the Karaoke Stage, and they are partnering with Scares That Care, a Maryland-based, all-volunteer charity founded in 2007 that raises money to aid families dealing with the immense financial burdens brought on by childhood illnesses, burns and breast cancer. The stage will feature a karaoke contest with entrants from local karaoke venues, community throughout the day, games and giveaways, all while helping to raise money for charity:  https://scaresthatcare.org.

Museum Tours – Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River, Inc.

The entire family will enjoy stepping back in time while visiting the Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River, or as it’s better known, the Essex Museum. The Heritage Society is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers whose goal is the preservation of the history of Essex and Middle River, Maryland. The first meeting was held at Essex Elementary on Sept. 26, 1968, and the Museum opened exactly seven years later on Sept. 26, 1975 in the 1920 Fire/Police Station which also served as a court house. In addition to Police and Fire memorabilia, visitors will find the Avenue of Shops, a replica old-time school room and pharmacy, and a wide variety of all things historic and sometimes quirky, such as the Moaning Statue. Kids’ Zone 

Bring the children to the Essex Day Kids’ Zone for some fun and games!  The Kids’ Zone will feature bounce houses, a dunking booth, carnival games, pony rides and more. Located near the Community Stage.

Pie Eating Contest

The Pie Eating Contest will be held at 2:30 pm at the Main Stage. Sign up for the Pie Eating Contest at the Essex Day Information Booth located near the Main Stage. Participants will feast on Dangerously Delicious Pies as they eat to win the coveted pie-shaped “Essex Day Pie Eating Contest Winner” plaque.
