47th Annual Essex Day Festival is Saturday, Sept. 17

(Essex, Maryland – September 8, 2022) – The 47th Annual Essex Day Festival, presented by the Eastern Regional Lions Club and sponsored in part by Medstar Health, is a FREE family-friendly event held on Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Eastern Boulevard from Mace Avenue to Woodward Avenue in the heart of Essex.
Opening ceremonies will be held at 11:30 am on the Essex Day Main Stage located at Taylor Avenue. Camron Robertson, known as “Mr. Charisma,” will host the opening ceremonies with scheduled guests Senator Johnny Ray Salling, Delegates Ric Metzgar and Bob Long, Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski Jr. and Baltimore County Councilman Todd Crandell.
The event will kick off with a parade prior to opening ceremonies featuring a full team of World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales, Baltimore Ravens Super Fan Captain DEE-FENSE, Glenn L. Martin Composite Squadron, Boy Scouts, local Fire Departments, Baltimore’s Best Hons, Victory Stars dancers and more.
Essex Day, organized by the New Essex Day Festival Association, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, will include a full schedule of live bands; karaoke stage; community stage with entertainers, a pie eating contest and more; car show; mechanical bull; kids’ zone with children’s activities, dunking booth, games and pony rides; free tours of the Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River Museum; more than 150 arts and crafts, novelty, sports, and food vendors; food trucks; beer garden; nonprofit organizations; local businesses and more.
